Marnelle Andersen

Marnelle Andersen is the lab manager of Sloan Lab at the University of Minnesota. She has a BS from SUNY Albany and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in New York. She most previously worked in industry before joining the lab.

Her research interests include the interests of Sloan lab, specifically understanding the role of myeloid cells in primary brain tumors. The lab is particularly interested in the impact of radiotherapy on deleterious peripheral blood myeloid cell populations in patients with brain tumors. The overall goal of the lab's translational science program is to personalize radiation therapy based on systemic immune biomarkers.
